I fail to see how you can rate ensuring a high quality environment for residents higher in the med growth scenario than the low one. There will be less green belt, more noise and more traffic!

I think this would continue to support employment at the airport without ruining the lives of the residents. It would still lead to increased employment without a great increase in aircraft noise.

This scenario is assessed as having a high strategic fit with the objective of ensuring a high quality environment for residents. However, as with Scenario 1, there are few opportunities to provide enhancements and this would suggest only a medium strategic fit against this objective.

The old Cherry Orchard Lane past the brickworks site is currently lightly trafficked and therefore well used by non-motorised users. Appropriate provision needs to be made for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians to reduce the impact of the additional vehicle movements associated with such a development. This may necessitate provision of a new separate path.
