In all the consultation documents I have participated in, there has never been mention of anything drastic, like this, and certainly no one-way system. All views presented to you said we wanted to retain our Village, not make it a town. How could Rochford Council keep from Hockley residents such sweeping changes? It cannot be legal not to have notified all residents by post of what was proposed. If a caring resident had not put a leaflet through the door of a friend of mine this enormous change to Hockley would have gone ahead.
