Why does the centre need to be changed? All it needs is to have a face lift. It has been let decline in appearance. It is good to have variety and character - it is the reason many people like Hockley so much. There are sufficient shops for the area if the empty ones are used. Traders complain about the rates etc. Perhaps better use of funding would be to support them more. The present supermarket could be enlarged, not another one built. Parking is a key issue that requires attention.
