Hockley Area Action Plan - Issues and Options

Representation ID: 9262

Received: 28/04/2009

Respondent: Mr Roy Munro

Representation Summary:

This section is mixture of issues and solutions.

There are issues to be addressed like shop appearances and over-signage but these are small scale and do not require the heavy handed approach suggested by the HAAP document. Again, the softly-softly approach is required.

Speed of traffic (which is actually quite low I believe) can be a deterent to cycling but what is the big deal about cycling? Who wants to cycle so much as to warrant major change to our village?
Note that the cycle routes along Hall Road are rarely used - an expensive exercise for little purpose/use I think.
