I just wonder if you people ever actually visit or look at what you are prposing to change.I moved to Hockley teo years ago,because I found the village centre to be a thriving local shopping centre.Now you want to change it. WHY for what purpose your own gratification perhaps ???? Or is it a question that some big supermarket chain has identified an area where the nearest big supermarket Sainsburies is four miles away ,and the villages of Hockley,Rochford,Hullbridge,Hawkwell,Ashingdon, are ripe for the picking.You talk aboutsolving the traffick problems around Hockley ,but all you willdo is attrackt shoppers into yhe new TESCO store from these villages,which buy the way will wreck their shopping facilities a well thought out stragaty.
In addition you are willing to sact rifice all the local jobs on the Eldon way estate WHY ???? I do not know of a single PLANNED redevelope ment of an exising shopping centre which has actually improved the centre,in fact most of them are total disasters,SO WHY DON,T YOU LEAVE HOCKLEY ALONE
