Hockley Area Action Plan - Issues and Options

Representation ID: 8234

Received: 15/04/2009

Respondent: mr keith everett

Representation Summary:

re-1.2.3: Building new housing in the south-east of essex as a whole is a bad idea not only are the roads already at capacity but also the schools, NHS, police, transport and many other public services. Extra housing will only compound the problems. Many people move to the Hockley area for the open space and quality of life away from the more densely populated areas and enjoy a low crime rate, good schools and better lifestyle because of it. I for one think that expanding the population will make the area a less atractive place to live.
