[re CFS064, its footpaths and adjacent woodlands]
My late grandparents often told me how much they used this open, beautiful link between the different parts of Hockley from the 1960s.
It links Hockley Primary School (my old school and many children use this as their 'commute') and the Community Centre and Village and Stations to:
St Peter and Pauls Church, residents over in Church Road, the Laburnum Grove estate and beyond and Folly Chase.
It is a great open circular 'Jubilee' walk from and back to The Bull.
It is SAFE away from the busy main road B1013 with its heavy congestion, pollution and narrow pavements.
It has a great area of Ancient Woodland with its wild animals, flowers which we appreciated and studied on our safe and magical outings from Hockley Primary.
Many children suffer with their mental health and we desperately need to protect CFS064 as it is a unique and useable link and offers a tranquil escape from the stresses of life.
I UNDERSTAND THAT WE NEED TO BUILD HOUSES BUT PLEASE USE MORE APPROPRIATE, LESS PRECIOUS, LESS FRAGILE SITES THAN THIS ONE WHICH ARE SO NECESSARY FOR ALL GENERATIONS BUT PARTICULARLY CHILDREN AND OUR ANIMALS. Please protect Biodiversity.
