Builders / developers are obviously in that business to make money. When a builder puts in plans currently these will normally try to maximise the return for the shareholders. This means the numbers of properties suggested is high and the type of property is normally houses as they sell for more than single storey housing. There is consideration for potentially affordable housing, but in your research the number of properties more appropriate for some older people, or those with disabilities is highlighted, however bungalows are seldom built, which doesn't appear in line with the research on types of property required..
