Rayleigh has (by nearly 50%) more occupants than any other town in Rochford - yet we don’t have a swimming pool. As our demographic is likely to change such that there will be a 46% increase in the over 70’s more use will be gained from a swimming pool which is a great exercise and less likely for injury than any other sport.
A network of cycle paths should be incorporated. The roads are too narrow, over parked and congested for it to be safe enough to cycle. A scheme for electric bike hire/charging in Rayleigh would be good.
