The few vilages we have in Rochford need to be protected from further expansion. If we lose the unique character of these villages, we will have lost the few quieter areas of the district, and risk turning Rochford district into one large town (similar to Southend).
The green belt land and farm land provides calm, quiet space for people within a short distance of their homes. The village pubs also provide a unique setting which help with local employment - by losing the viallge feel, these businesses will be adversely affected as their unique selling points will be gone.
