New Local Plan: Spatial Options Document 2021

Representation ID: 38377

Received: 02/09/2021

Respondent: Mrs Shirley Page

Representation Summary:

As stated, there is a need for flexible working spaces and opportunities for start-up businesses to get going. Would it not make sense to adapt local libraries, where possible, or premises such as the MIll Hall in Rayleigh or the Freight House in Rochford, and create internet-connected office spaces, that provide privacy, for individuals to rent by the hour or day rather than seek permanent office space. These rooms could be used alongside the normal functions and use of the building and would provide extra income for the council whilst supporting smaller businesses or those trying to work from home.
