New Local Plan: Spatial Options Document 2021

Representation ID: 38117

Received: 23/08/2021

Respondent: Craig Cannell

Representation Summary:

Meeting future needs by prioritising the delivery of new employment space alongside any new strategic housing developments (e.g. start-up business centres/co-working spaces or planning for live-work units) and securing the delivery of ultra-fast connectivity across the District are great ways to enable opportunity.

Identifying land for higher- or further-education facilities to address current and future skills shortages has my support.

Prioritising the expansion of existing employment sites, combined with the requirement for new employment developments to set aside a certain proportion of ‘grow-on’ space, to meet identified additional needs relies on good supporting infrastructure.
