Core Strategy Preferred Options (Revised October 2008)

Representation ID: 3649

Received: 14/12/2008

Respondent: Mr Alan Stone

Representation Summary:

As the only Primary Care Centre proposal accompanies new residential development in Rayleigh, it is obvious that this will be north of London Road. ie Rawreth.
If, as we are told, PCC's will be occupied, in part, by relocating doctors and their general practice resources, this will dilute the services available in Rayleigh Town centre.
Why do this? It will inconvenience many people, especially the elderly.
Not building this large extension of housing in Rawreth will eliminate the need for a PCC there.
The empty site in Hockley Road, opposite the cemetery, would be better suited and more central. It's been empty for years!
