Representation Summary:

An ill considered plan completely disregarding the fact that the area is already quite highly populated. The rural nature of the area makes it open to destruction of many rural areas. Too great a pressure on local infrastructure. Health risks from extra pollution.

I object to the new proposed Local Development Plan. It has come up with figures for the proposed total number of houses which are unsustainable in the area. This district is largely rural, green belt land with narrow rural type roads. On this basis alone the resultant extra traffic is unsustainable, let alone the extra demand on NHS services ; schools; utilities; police and public transport. There is an ECC report which makes it clear that there are insufficient funds for the vital infratsructure support for this new plan. It's an irresponsible scheme and the results of such unconsidered building will reflect badly on RDC in that it would severely reduce the quality of life of those currently residing in the district, and certainly will create an overcrowded district where movement around the area is extremely difficult. Many of the sites are proposed in green belt areas, and destruction of these results in the loss of vital 'green lungs' to help maintain air quality; loss of wildlife would ensure and also obvious loss of such local green space amenities. Certain places in the district are known places of high poluttion and increased traffic will worsen this and affect the health of many residents.
