10.2 'impact of development on natural environment, in particular the character of different areas, was a common issue raised through the early community engagement undertaken in 2016. Local areas of ecological value - such as Local Nature Reserves and Local Wildlife Sites - are also of importance and make a significant contribution to the character of our district.
Building of houses should take place far away from the River Crouch which is recognised for its wildlife and natural habitats. The Coastal Protection Belt is in place to minimise vulnerability and should be adhered to in line with National Policy.
