Whilst I appreciate that the council are bound by the governments national strategy on housing needs, there must come a time when we cannot build anymore houses without severely affecting the environment in terms of water levels, drainage, floodwaters etc. I don't know if anyone has noticed but we live on an island so our population cannot increase forever. A line should be drawn under the topic of housing until immigration and the actual number of people who should be living in this country is known, then we may have a better understanding of the actual housing need.
