Representation Summary:

Level and means of consultation

Full text:

My comment is about the level of consultation, in relation to proposed developments in the revised core strategy, if a proposed site is identified that requires a change of designation from Greenbelt and/or is designated for more than say "25" dwellings then the whole district should be consulted directly by a mailshot to all persons on the electoral roll and council tax payers. there should be notifications as you have stated below for Social Media should not be restricted to Twitter, but include Facebook.

Before any policy is adopted it should have been published in at least two editions of RDM.

Each political group, (and or Individual councillors) should demonstrate to the council officers what steps they have taken to engage with their wards in respect to the plans,
such as websites, their own leaflets etc.

Schools and Doctors Surgeries should be compulsory consultees, under "25" homes only those in the immediate area, over "25" the whole district, as well as the County Council.

There should also be audit criteria as to the level of response that the council has received before any of the sites are adopted
