Rayleigh Centre Area Action Plan: Schedule of Modifications and Sustainability Appraisal

Representation ID: 34482

Received: 26/05/2015

Respondent: Mr Brian Springall

Representation Summary:

Regarding the proposed changes to Rayleigh town centre, I would like to suggest that the zebra crossing at the top of Crown Hill be replaced by a Pelican or other traffic light controlled crossing. This would undoubtedly improve the traffic flow by removing the stop-start situation which currently exists particularly on Saturdays & Wednesdays. It would also improve pedestrian safety as they would not have to rely on drivers condescending to stop to enable them to cross the road.
