London Southend Airport & Environs Joint Area Action Plan Issues & Options Paper

Representation ID: 2095

Received: 07/08/2008

Respondent: Mr Jon Fuller

Representation Summary:

The evidence base should include a report by the UK Climate Impacts Programme on the level of sea level rise Rocford and Southend will have to contend with unless CO2 emissions are reduced (up to 1 metre by 2100). Expert scientific opinion shows that CO2 emissions must be reduced by around 80 - 90% in the UK by 2050. That does not fit with aviation expansion.
