Looking to the immediate future, and bearing in mind the purpose of pre-submission consultation as an iterative and on-going process in which consultees can help shape the issues and options to be tested, it is important that you have a clear view about how this initial work and subsequent work will be taken forward to produce preferred options for wider public participation. In particular you will need to be clear how the outcomes of this initial consultation may be used to engage in further consultation.
