London Southend Airport and Environs Joint Area Action Plan Preferred Options

Representation ID: 4909

Received: 06/03/2009

Respondent: Mr Simon Ling-Locke

Representation Summary:

The flight paths over builtup areas, especially over Leigh, where incoming flights are already very low and noisy, would become intolerable with such an expansion. Even with 'new quieter planes' the noise levels from early morning to late at night would blight a large populated area. In addition the access routes of A13, A127 and rail links are all already at breaking point and could not cope with such an expansion. This is a plan which should not be allowed to go ahead.
