Individual codes, etc, for each settlement & growth area would ensure development appropriate to the local area, to ensure that the same design, house type, etc. is not just applied throughout the District, as often happens when volume builders are involved.

Design & materials appropriate to the character of the existing settlement, perhaps better private car parking provision to reflect that some settlements are heavily reliant on private motor vehicles & open spaces incorporated into new developments to retain the open & more rural setting

Canewdon Parish Council has seen some parts of the Green Belt eroded & spoilt by inappropriate industrial/commercial sites. It is considered that the Green Belt should be protected from such development & that any breaches of planning control should be effectively enforced against.
