Unsure of practicality of river access toHullbridge.
Major renovation required to existing pavements to enable more walking.
More housing required for older people ( not all sheltered accommodation. )
I am not representing Our Lady of Ransom Church as is stated on next page .
I am Mrs Lorna Warren
Access to Hullbridge via the river would be subject to tides . Not sure of embarkation/disembarkation points that could be used along the River Crouch. Any walking in Hullbridge at present is not comfortable due to the poor condition of pavements in the adopted roads and the virtually non existent pavements in the unmade roads.
Housing for older residents in the village would be a good idea. I am in the older age bracket and having lived inHullbridge for over forty years would be loathe to leave . I am living in a four bedroom property which could be freed for a younger family if any new housing in the village could partly be available for older persons.

Present infrastructure cannot support existing housing .
An increase in housing to a greater degree would be to the detriment of all those living in Hullbridge, taking into account the increased commuter traffic from Hockley, Rochford and Rayleigh . Any further housing should be affordable and for the elderly.
Lubbards Farm area could be expanded for further employment possibilities.
I am not representing Our Lady of Ransom Church . I don’t know why this is being shown.
Mrs Lorna Warren, Hullbridge resident.
I cannot see how Hullbridge can support any further major housing with its present infrastructure. The only increase to housing in my opinion should be affordable housing ( this hasn’t happened with present new development ) and housing for the older population to free up existing houses in the village for families.
Roads developed decades ago cannot cope with existing population and commuting traffic travelling from Rochford / Chelmsford /Southend directions.
The only area which provides employment at present is Lubbards Farm. Could this be extended ?

Q59c. Are there areas in Hullbridge that development should generally be presumed appropriate?

CFS190 is the only field that I would consider suitable for development and preferably housing for the elderly of Hullbridge to free up housing in the main body of the village.

Q59d. Are there areas that require protecting from development?

For reasons already stated i.e. infrastructure plus lack of primary / secondary school places in Hullbridge and an increase to GP lists I feel Hullbridge cannot support further development or S E Essex to be honest.
If all this extra housing is required by national government then a New Town should be built with appropriate infrastructure in place .

Q59e. Do you agree that the local green spaces shown on Figure 48 hold local significance?

Most definitely. During COVID restrictions , the Hullbridge Nature Reserve and river front walk was a lifeline.
The old footpath going through CFS193 is used by a lot of people as a green walk towards the river . The river front footpath could be extended in the direction of Paglesham . At present I don’t believe the path can be walked.
