Too many houses and too many people. Rayleigh is meant to be a small market town, not a massive housing estate. You are not building for the locals, you are building for the London fallout. The main roads in and out of Rayleigh A127, A13, A12 are already a nightmare to travel on. We don’t have enough doctors surgeries now, let alone when you let all these people move in. Rayleigh Police Station needs to be open properly again as there will be more crime. Building flats on the Mill Hall site will ruin the cultural beauty of that area.

Please please stop building on our beautiful countryside. We don’t have the infrastructure to cope with it. Stop allowing us to lose our identity as a market town with nearby rivers and woods and beautiful countryside. The new developments all boast about the ease of travel on our main roads and the surrounding countryside. The more they build the less countryside there will be and with the present climate change, more flooding.
