The loss of any parking spaces at the Freight House would add to the already difficult parking situation within the centre of Rochford. The Parish Council agree with the other potential opportunity sites although we would like to see the police station adapted for community use especially as the future use of the Rocheway College site is uncertain.
Any increase of use for the Freight House would place additional demands on the limited town centre parking.

The Parish Council supports this modification but would like to see the Police Station kept as a community facility and if possible catering for young people as there is currently a lack of facilities for them within the town.
