I fully support the plans to improve Southend Airport. An extended runway will allow new medium sized aircraft to operate in and out, ensuring the european destinations that the local community want to see return can be acheived.
Cleaner, quieter aircraft with appropriate control measures in place. Oh and thousands of more jobs! What's the problem again?

A small runway extension will enable the runway end safety areas to be balanced which can only improve safety in both directions.
The revised runway distances would also be more attractive to Airlines interested in operating new passenger services to the continent.
I fully support this proposal.
