We would support the Alternative Option. Reasons being :-
PPS7 is more supportive of Diversification of rural assets than the Core Strategy. PPS7 does not preclude against residential uses quote "residential conversion may be more appropriate in sime locations and for some types of buildings."
This is re-use of existing structures - not new build. Additionally the District is peppered with individual houses. These convertions would be within the curtiledge of existing farmsteads and as such can easily be visually protected by tree planting if required.
