Core Strategy Preferred Options (Revised October 2008)

CLT4 Healthcare - Preferred Option

Representation ID: 3335

Received: 26/11/2008

Respondent: Castle Point Borough Council

Representation Summary:

CPBC support the requirement for new developments to be accompanied by a Health Impact Assessment (HIA). However CPBC suggests that a threshold should be considered. The preferred option currently requires all developments to have an assessment. The Local Area Agreement for Essex suggested a threshold of 50 dwelling units. CPBC have used this as a starting point for developing a HIA policy in the emerging Core Strategy.
