11.73 Inappropriate lighting can create light pollution which can affect rural, coastal and urban areas. This type of pollution can have a negative effect on ecology and wildlife, obscure vision of the stars, and introduce a suburban feel into rural areas which can affect local character and cause stress and anxiety for those adversely affected.
We are very concerned about additional houses causing more light pollution and resulting n the above mentioned issues. At present, we can see the night sky and stars where we live at the edge of the village but this would be destroyed by additional building.
