Rochford Area Action Plan: Schedule of Modifications

Representation ID: 34453

Received: 18/11/2014

Respondent: Mrs J Plaister

Representation Summary:

I am personally not clear of the site area in North Street at the junction of Weir Pond Road, but I would like to just comment that whatever is planned to be done here the first action must be to improve traffic flow and not cause further congestion at this point.

Rochford Area Action Plan: Schedule of Modifications

Representation ID: 34459

Received: 03/12/2014

Respondent: Historic England

Representation Summary:

We welcome the additional paragraph relating to the identification of opportunity sites within the town and amendments to the Proposals Map as shown in MM8 (is this Figure 6 or 8?). One of the opportunity sites is the Spar building on the east side of the Market Square, and our representation to the pre-submission document recommended that this building could be redeveloped to the benefit of the town's historic environment.

Rochford Area Action Plan: Schedule of Modifications

Representation ID: 34466

Received: 04/12/2014

Respondent: Rochford Parish Council

Representation Summary:

The loss of any parking spaces at the Freight House would add to the already difficult parking situation within the centre of Rochford. The Parish Council agree with the other potential opportunity sites although we would like to see the police station adapted for community use especially as the future use of the Rocheway College site is uncertain.

Any increase of use for the Freight House would place additional demands on the limited town centre parking.
