Dress it up but this is just a bit of green to try and 'improve' an over developed surrounding area with a larger inapropriately placed larger airport which by it's position will be stuck close to a anti environmental airport development business

It is stated that the growth of the airport will enhance job opportunities. This has yet to be proved, since many of the jobs will have moved from the Eldon Way site in Hockley. So far two public footpaths have been obliterated by the airport growth, one without any consultation whatever. My MP, Mr Amess, has yet to establish hich Secretary of State ordered the closure of the footpath 36, This is not 'protecting local amenities.', is it.

Representation Summary:

Draft Policy ENV 1 sets out that the boundary of the Metropolitan Green Belt will be amended as shown on the Proposals Map.

C and S Associates support the proposed changes to the green belt boundary as identified on the proposals map. The green belt boundary can be amended to enable this beneficial development to take place without compromising any adjoining areas of green belt. The brickworks site can provided with defensible boundaries which will afford future protection of the adjoining green belt and will not threaten the function and purpose of the green belt.

Representation Summary:

I want this topic of green belt loss to be aired publically in the local press for all residents to see clearly .We residents have a right- as we chose to live here as the Green Belt was arranged and any change will affect our lives and our childrens.

Full text:

There should be a further specific public consultation about the change of Green Belt because it is hidden amongst all the other proposed developments and is an irreversible change, detrimental to established habitats and local rural living. There shouldn't be one rule for one development and one for another. Green belt is vital to farming, nature and future generations and no Council has the right to decide, without a full investigation and open meeting on just this single topic . The general public are not aware of this proposal as they do not read all the planning details and this is mixed up within many development proposals that are basically mundane extensions of buildings, parking and upgrading of existing services at the terminal .This is a totally different matter and needs to be given a stronger airing before it is decided.

I am totally opposed to the use & loss of green belt land but especially for the expansion of an unwanted airport. I disagree that airports are suitable cases for the use & release of green belt land. No one will benefit from this except for the shareholders & bosses of the airport whose sole aim is to increase their profits, giving little regard to Local residents & workers who will forever lose the right to enjoy these protected green open spaces

I SUPPORT THIS. I have nothing to add concerning this particular heading that I didn't say in the previous JAAP consultation, to leave as 'No Comments' gives the impression that the writer could be a 'Don't Know' and has not got a view either way. Those who do not comment must be assumed to be in favour; however, those who object will choose not interpret it as such. The box below seems to assume that the writer has objected! Who the heck compiled this document?
