our main objection is the:
the cap on aircraft is too high 53,300 it needs to be reduced and
operating hours outside of daytime hours of 120 ATMs month again is too high.
The road structure needs to be improved in order to cope, but living in the side roads is getting impossible to get onto the main roads and this addressing.

It is not clear what retail development means. It would be inappropriate to stop additional retail outlets that are in line with normal airport/passenger expectations from being provided in the permitted terminal footprints. However separate shopping mall/stand-alone type developments should not be permitted.

As a resident living under the flight path I am not happy with the 120 limit ATM per month outside normal flying times of 2300 to 0630. This could be as many as 4 per night and that is excessive. The noise is much more noticeable during these hours and the potential for sleep disruption for people who are young, ill or light sleepers is unfair. Also 90 flights per month scheduled to arrive between 2300 and 2330 is too many. There should be none scheduled.

Daytime operating hours between 06:30 and 23:00 are unreasonable for residents nearby.
No flights should be scheduled outside of daytime operating hours as this would be a nuisance to residents.
Ground noise and engine testing times are unreasonable and unfair.

It is agreed the the airport will monitor airlines and levy fines on operators who fail to comply with the agreed procedures. These fines should be paid to residents who are the ones that will suffer, agreed regular reports will be presented to
the Airport Consultative Committee, to include details of any fines collected and how the funds should be paid to residents, the airport operator will be required to fund the installation of fixed noise monitoring stations to enable the appropriate monitoring and control of the preferential routes and night time noise, and introduce and manage a noise complaints service.

I request the LPA to make every effort to control and minimise the noise pollution generated by the large increaqse in flights. The LPA must realise that the noise pollution is a major blight already on thousands of peoples lives. The late evening and night flights should therefore be kept to an absolute miinimum. I do not understand why there need to be so many flights permitted between 2300 and 2330.

Daytime operating hours should not start at 6.30am. The Fireworks Regulations 2004 states, "'Night hours' means the period beginning at 11 pm and ending at 7 am the following day" and therefore 6.30am is unreasonable.

Night has a very wide time, wider than most other airports and the number of flights is still high - min 4 every night. How long does the annual cap apply for?
Preferential runway use brought in to appease Tory Leader in Southend - can I request no flights over my house please? In reality the flight paths should be over fields and estuarys to avoid disturbance to residents
Noise complaints service - and what is the penalty, who decides if a complaint is justified??
