Look carefully at Broad Parade in the Broadlands estate in Hockley. It is a huge eyesore in the neighbourhood and does not warrant retention. If you can legally enforce complete renovation of the property and its appalling surroundings, right up to the Greensward Lane pavement, it may be useful to keep this facility. If you cannot enforce the transformation of this slum site, then it would be better to replace it with some smart residential accommodation.

Support the retention and enhancement of existing village / neighbourhood shops as they are accessible by means other than the private car and essential in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents; while also generating a level of employment.
With respect of criterion (i) it would be useful to provide clarification on what methods have been used to market the unit and over what time period.
