Development Management DPD Preferred Policy Options Document

Representation ID: 28317

Received: 27/02/2012

Respondent: Ian Davidge

Representation Summary:

One aspect on which is not clear is how the cumulative impact of a number of separate developments within a local area might be dealt with.

For example a number of residential developments together with a business development/s might be proposed in close proximity to each other. Although at the individual level each proposed development might conform to these policies, their cumulative impact could put at risk objectives such Green Belt protection, the protection of community identity, and the prevention of coalescence. Would these cumulative impacts be addressed at this Development Plan level or at Core Strategy Level?
